Day 9 - john o'groats

Made it ! The last day was planned to be easy. But a continuous headwind proved otherwise. I'll be writing the whole journey up and will send out a weblink. Thanks for the donations - £2k!

Day 8 - fort augustus to crask inn

We certainly earned our sponsorship today! 5 hours cycling in rain. Very cold by end. But amazing scenery. The Crask Inn is a unique place - isolated and querky. Brilliant. So much to write about - i'll write it all up when back.

Day 7 - inverary to fort augustus

106miles, 12.5mph - going through stunning mountains with interesting wildlife was the saving grace, as this was the hardest day phsychologically for me. Icy showers all day (inc hail), and slower than usual pace as we had to protect Ashley's pulled quad muscle. I was cold most of the day. Saw seals, cuckoo, lesser redpoll and heard grasshopper warbler.

Day 5 - kendal to sanquahar

Started with the 9mile climb from kendal to shap. 1500ft of climb, but we have done so much that we found it easy. Beautiful lake district. Pub in carlisle, when the 1st rain hit us and it got very cold. Rainy scotland -who'd have thought?! Cold, hungry and wet - but the team arem't half eating up the miles now!
